I listen.

“It’s about a man driving home after hearing the 4-minute warning about a nuclear event. He goes home and hugs his kid, puts him to bed, then dances with his wife to their favorite song as they wait for the end.”

“OH MY GOD.”

“Yeah.”

“YOU JUST COMPLETELY RUINED THIS SONG FOR ME.”

“You’re appreciating it so much more, now.”

“THIS IS SO SAD. WHY DID YOU HAVE TO TELL ME THAT?”

“You would have found out eventually, and come home and said ‘DO YOU KNOW WHAT THIS SONG IS ABOUT?’ I’ve just saved you from crying in public.”

“THANKS A LOT.” *Wipes copious tears.*
