I just assumed it was from Watchmen but that’s, like, the only comic I know. I would go to these conferences and think that anyone wearing any shade of blue body paint was supposed to be Dr. Manhattan.
UPDATE: I googled the expressions, and it’s apparently from They Live. J is downstairs and hasn’t read this yet, but when he does read this, he’ll probably look at me with his jaw dropped, eyes agog at me for having not seen this film, just as he did when I mentioned I’d never seen Marathon Man last night. Kind of like the expression of the people in the picture?
