If you’ve never heard of Charles Bradley (as I hadn’t until a week or so ago, nor had most of the world until a few years ago), do yourself a huge favor and go listen to No Time For Dreaming. This man IS soul. When he performed this song at Nelsonville, I was cracked open with heartbreak for his story. If you have the chance to see him live (and you should: he’s touring the heck out of the world right now), don’t even hesitate.
