Frank Turner - My Poor Friend Me

The discovery that our neighbor kid is an angst-ridden skateboarder had me trolling back through all the punk rock I listened to for the blip that was 1994-1996 (also, not surprisingly, the same period I owned a skateboard that I pretended to know what to do with). I was left thinking that it’s ridiculous that no indie bands have done non-punk versions of late 80s/early 90s punk songs. If you strip away that rapid-fire punk drumming, these are really beautiful, melodic songs.
